Women's Basketball Ranked No.5 In North Central Region

INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Committee has released this week's Division II women's basketball regional rankings.  The top 10 teams in each region are listed for each of the eight regions.  The regional rankings will be released every Wednesday through March 3. Selections will be Sunday, March 7.

The Dragons are ranked No. 5 for the second consecutive week, after falling from the No. 4 slot in the first regional ranking. The Dragons are 14-5 overall against NCAA DII institutions, 16-6 overall this season and 10-5 in league play.

Six of the ten regionally ranked schools are in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, the Dragons trail No. 2 Concordia-St. Paul (Minn.) and No. 4 Wayne State (Neb.).

The Dragons will host Bemidji State in the third annual Go Pink with the Dragons event on Friday, Feb. 12. The game will also be the annual alumni night for all MSUM alumni. MSUM will honor their senior's on Saturday, Feb. 13 as they host No. 7 Minnesota Duluth.
