MOORHEAD, Minn. - The Minnesota State University Moorhead Athletics Department's annual Dragon Open brought in alumni and community members on June 4 to support the Dragons while having fun on the course.
The 18-hole shotgun tournament was played at the Moorhead Country Club. Roughly 70 people golfed in the tournament where they ended the day with a buffet dinner, door prizes and awards.
The winners of with the lowest gross score of 57 was the foursome of Matt Oye, Eric Weiss, Dallas Corcoran and
Jon Wepking. Finishing six shots behind them was the group of Gary Mikkelson, Jack Arneson, Jim Mikkelson and Larry Johnson.
The lowest net score (after handicaps) winners were the group of Garrett Smith, Christian Kiedrowski, Todd Olson and Chad Marsden who totaled 54.0. Fortier's foursome followed with 56.6 and included Fortier, Pete Lysaker, Chuck Johnson and Marv Degerness.
