MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragon volleyball team topped the Marauders of the University of Mary (N.D.) 3-0 tonight (25-12, 25-13, 25-19).

The Dragons shone once again tonight as they swept the Marauders in Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse. Showing their strength at the net, the Dragons had a total of 13 blocks, three solo and 10 block assists.

Junior Heidi Lensing lead the way for the Dragons with 10 kills, 14 digs and three block assists. She was also named the Papa Johns player of the game.

Other key contributors were junior setter Anna Olson with 35 assists, 13 digs and two block assists and freshman middle blocker Maggie Gruber put down 10 kills, one solo block and two block assists.

Junior defensive specialist Katy Ness also hustled after 19 digs.

Tonight's victory continues the Dragons three-game winning streak and moves them to 6-4 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and 8-9 overall.

The Dragon volleyball team, who was previously ranked 16th in the nation for digs in a set, has moved up in the ranks. Their average of 18.5 digs in a set has bumped them up to 9th in the latest polls.

The volleyball team will travel next to Augustana (S.D) on Friday, Oct. 14 and Wayne State (Neb.) on Saturday, Oct. 15.
