MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragon volleyball team will be traveling to Augustana College (S.D.) on Friday, Oct. 14 and Wayne State College (Neb.) on Saturday, Oct. 15.

The Vikings of Augustana are currently ranked No. 9 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference with a record of 4-5 and 10-7 overall.

This will be the second meeting of the year for these teams. On Sept. 10, 2011 the Vikings defeated the Dragons 3-1 (25-21, 25-13, 21-25, 25-22) in the Tharaldson Classic held in Alex Nemzek Hall.

The Wayne State Wildcats, No. 10 in the nation, are currently 13-5 on the season. Their 6-3 record in the NSIC has earned them No. 4 rankings in the conference. Both teams last met on Oct. 16, 2010 where the Wildcats took the match 3-1 (25-22, 20-25, 20-25, 22-25).

The Dragons now 8-9 on the season and 6-4 in the NSIC are sitting No. 6 in the currents rankings. They have won their last nine sets and are looking to extend their three game win streak this weekend.

Their continued average of 18.5 digs per set has moved them up to No. 9 nationally in digs per set.
