WINONA, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragon volleyball team fell 3-0 tonight to the Winona State Warriors (25-21, 25-16, 27-25).
Tonight's match was the second meeting of the season for both teams. On Oct. 28 the Dragons swept the Warriors 3-0 at home.
The Dragons were led by junior libero
Katy Ness with 23 digs. Ness was followed by sophomore defensive specialist
Angie Waller and freshman defensive specialist
Sam Reilly with 13 and 11 digs respectively.
Freshman outside hitter
Annie Palmquist led the Dragon offense with nine kills. She was followed by freshman outside hitter
Morgan Gradishar who chipped in eight kills and two block solos.
Junior
Anna Olson took charge of the Dragon setters with 16 assists, followed by freshman
Sam Sullivan with 10 assists.
The Dragons (12-14, 10-9 NSIC) travel to Fayette, Iowa tomorrow to battle the Peacocks of Upper Iowa University in their last game of regular season play.
