FAYETTE, Iowa – The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragon volleyball team closed out the regular season play with a 3-1 victory over the Peacocks of Upper Iowa (25-23, 23-25, 25-21, 25-17).
After previously falling to the Peacocks 3-1 on Oct. 29, the Dragons came back to grab the win tonight and proved you can't keep a good team down.
Offensively, junior setter
Anna Olson led the Dragons with 40 assists and seven kills. Olson also contributed five digs, one service ace, one block solo and one block assists.
Junior middle blocker
Meredith Egeland was also a force to be reckoned with at the net as she put down 11 kills, teamed up for five block assists and had one solo block.
Other key contributors for the Dragons were junior outside hitter
Heidi Lensing with nine kills and 12 digs, freshman outside hitter
Morgan Gradishar with nine kills and eight digs and junior libero
Katy Ness with 24 digs.
The Dragons (13-14, 11-9 NSIC) are currently ranked No. 6 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and continues to hold their No. 3 spot in the nation for digs per game with 19.77.
