MOORHEAD, Minn. - Minnesota States University Moorhead will say goodbye to a batch of reliable seniors when it welcomes Northern State University to Alex Nemzek Stadium for a 1 p.m. Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference reunion on Saturday.
MSU Moorhead will enter with a 2-7 overall record, including a 1-7 NSIC mark, Northern State is 3-6 overall and 2-6 in the NSIC, but the Wolves made a shocking statement with a 14-0 ambush of nationally-ranked Bemidji State University last weekend in Aberdeen, SD.

Freshman Jared Jacobson, 5-11, 190, replaced the injured senior quarterback Nick Wanner in last week's stunning 14-0 victory over nationally-ranked Bemidji State and will get the start against MSU Moorhead on Saturday. Jacobson has completed 15 of 44 passes for 192 yards and one touchdown in five games in relief.
Junior wide receiver Chris Morton, 6-0, 185, leads the Wolves in receiving with 32 catches for 453 yards and five touchdowns while junior Mark Hanley, 5-10, 175, has 28 receptions for 397 yards and one TD. Junior tailback Kristin James, 5-9, 170, tops the NSU rushing chart with 750 yards on 172 carries and nine touchdowns.
The Wolves' offensive line is anchored by senior tackle Jim Green, 6-4, 260, senior guard Gerardo Magana, 6-1, 270, senior center Keith Mayer, 6-1, 275, and junior guard Rob Neisen, 6-4, 270. Northern State defensive strongholds include senior linebacker Mike Bogdanovich, 6-0, 215, senior end Lincoln Smith, 6-3, 225, junior cornerback Marquis Mulkey, 5-10, 185, sophomore strong safety Jayson Geditz, 6-4, 195, and sophomore free safety Logan Dosch, 6-2, 180. Bogdanovich has recorded a club high 69 tackles, including 6.5 for loss, while Mulkey has 40 tackles, seven pass breakups and two interceptions.
MSU Moorhead puts the wraps on the 2011 season next Saturday against nationally-ranked St. Cloud State at 1 p.m. at Huskie Stadium in St. Cloud.
