Dragons Prepare For Final Home Weekend

| By:
MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragon volleyball team is returning to Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse to host Bemidji State University on Friday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. and University of Minnesota Duluth on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 4 p.m. following the Dragon football game.

The Dragons (11-12, 9-7 NSIC) are returning home to compete in their final two home games of the season. Coming off a 1-3 loss to the No. 9 Southwest Minnesota State University Mustangs, the ladies are looking to defeat the Bemidji State Beavers (6-17, 3-13 NSIC) for the second time this year. The Dragons defeated the Beavers 3-0 (25-11, 25-21, 25-17) earlier this season on Sept. 16.

Saturday's game will be a battle from start to finish as they take on the Bulldogs of Duluth, the No. 1 team in the NSIC and No. 1 in the nation. The Bulldogs (25-1, 16-1 NSIC) were previously undefeated until they suffered their first loss of the season to No. 4 Concordia-St. Paul on Nov. 1.

The Dragons strong defense will be their most valuable asset as they battle the No. 1 team in the nation. Being No. 1 in the NSIC and No. 2 in the nation for digs in a set with an average of 19.23, the ladies will have an edge over Duluth's average of 14.16 assists a game and 14.85 kills per game.

Go Dragons!
