MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragon volleyball team closed out their season at home against the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs. The No. 1 Bulldogs defeated the Dragons 3-0 (25-22, 25-15, 26-24).
Despite a loss going down in the record books, this game was not an easy victory for the No. 1 team in the NSIC and the nation. Katy Ness service ace.
The ladies held the lead until a Duluth timeout with the Dragons up 23-20. However, Kate Lange took charge and put down a couple kills, which gave the Bulldogs a 26-24 victory.
The Dragons were led by tonight's Papa John's Player of the Game, junior libero
Katy Ness. Ness hustled after 23 digs, 14 of those digs coming in the first set.
