2010-11 DRAGON BASKETBALL
The Dragons are 15-11 overall and 12-10 in NSIC play.
Leading the Dragons this season is Tarell Clark who has improved his average to 13.7 points per game.

The Dragons have the NSIC's leading rebounder in sophomore Alex Novak with an average of 10.7 rebounds per game.  That statistic ties Novak for sixth in all of NCAA Division II for rebounds per game.  Novak also averages two blocked shots per game, ranking him second in the NSIC and thirty-sixth in NCAA Division II.

The Dragons rank second in the NSIC for three-point shooting percentage (39.6 percent), but the Marauders lead the NSIC in three-point shooting defense (32.3 percent).

UNIVERSITY OF MARY MARAUDERS
The Marauders are 21-4 overall and 17-4 in NSIC play.

The Dragon men have faced the Marauders twice this season, both resulting in defeat.  The last time they met was in Bismarck, N.D. on Feb. 2, ending with a score of 73-66.

Those two losses were both part of U-Mary's current 15 game win streak, lifting them to No. 19 in the NCAA coaches poll, making them one of the hottest teams in all of Division II men's basketball.

The Marauders have the second leading scorer in the NSIC in Anthony Moody who posts a 21.3 points per game average, just a tenth of a point per game behind Augustana College's Cody Schilling.

Head-to-head the Dragons trail the Marauders in all-time bouts 9-7.

THE PLAYOFFS
The Dragon men are 2-9 all-time in the NSIC tournament after qualifying for the first nine playoffs from 2000-2008.

The Dragons were also the first team to win an NSIC playoff game on the road as a seventh seed back on March 5, 2003 at Southwest Minnesota State University, 70-62.  Road teams are a combined 6-38 (.136) in the first round of the NSIC tournament.

Wednesday's game will be the first time the Dragons have faced the Marauders in the post-season.  U-Mary is 0-2 all-time in the NSIC playoffs, losing to Winona State in 2008 and 2010.

The NSIC tournament champion earns an automatic qualification to the 2011 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Central Regional Tournament held March 12-13, 15 – site to be determined.
