MOORHEAD, Minn. - The Minnesota State University Dragon volleyball team travels to the University of Minnesota Crookston Tuesday to take on the Golden Eagles as they open conference play in the 2011 season.
The Dragons (2-5) have not yet faced the Golden Eagles (4-4) since Oct. 22 of last year in Crookston. The Dragons took the match winning 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-15). This game marks the first game of regular season action for the Dragons.
Coming off a 1-2 finish in the Tharaldson Classic held at MSU Moorhead, the Dragons look to build their 2-5 record and begin conference play.
The Dragons next action will be against the Beavers of Bemidji State University on Friday, Sept. 16 and at the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs Saturday, Sept. 17.
The Dragons next home contest will be over homecoming weekend Sept. 23-24 to battle St. Cloud State University and Concordia, St. Paul.
