| By:
MOORHEAD, Minn. - It's another Willie Nelson Weekend---On the Road Again---for Minnesota State University Moorhead when the Dragons motor to Fayette, IA for a 1 p.m. matinee meeting at Eischeid Stadium with Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference pal Upper Iowa University.

Both the Dragons, 1-1 overall and 0-1 in the NSIC, and the Peacocks (1-1, 0-1) are in search of their first league wins after launching conference play last weekend against a pair of NSIC heavyweights. MSU Moorhead fell to Winona States 48-10 while defending NCAA Division II National Champion Minnesota Duluth rolled to a 62-13 victory over touring UIU. Saturday's game will be broadcast over the Eagle 106.9 with Steve d'Eustachio providing the play-by-play.

Despite the loss to the Bulldogs,  the Peacocks are certain to pose some serious problems for MSU Moorhead this weekend. Redshirt freshman quarterback Cole Jaeschke, 6-2, 180, has made a quick imprint, completing 28 of 46 passes for 364 yards and a touchdown while junior Jessie Hubbard, 5-10,180, has been his main target with nine catches for 142 yards. Freshman Chris Smith leads the Peacocks in rushing with 78.5 yards per game in two starts. Junior linebacker Tony Leggett, 6-1, 215, tops the UIU defensive chart with 21 tackles while sophomore defensive back Tony Nesvik, 5-11, 175, has 19 tackles. Sophomore Jordan Andera, 6-1, 185, has two breakups and an interception.

Senior quarterback Kevin Koch, 6-3, 210, completed 15 of 25 passes for 181 yards and one touchdown for MSUM while senior Kendall Hendon, 6-2, 190, turned six receptions into 119 yards, including a 50-yard touchdown catch in the Dragons' loss to Winona State. Hendon also returned six kickoffs for 131 yards. Sophomore Wes Kramer, 6-3, 225,  provided the Dragons' first score, a 28-yard field goal late in the second period, and averaged 35.0 yards on four punts. Sophomore Kvamme Bailey, 6-0, 200, and senior Logan Werlinger, 6-0, 205, were credited with nine tackles each.

The Dragons return to celebrate homecoming with Minnesota, Crookston on Saturday, September 24.
