Moorhead, Minn. -  The Minnesota State University Moorhead volleyball team splits their weekend road trip after the University of Minnesota, Duluth Bulldogs edged out the Dragons 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-21).
The nationally ranked No. 6 Bulldogs were a tough opponent for the Dragons as they now move to 2-1 in the Northern Sun intercollegiate Conference and 4-6 overall on the season. 
 Setter 
Anna Olson led the Dragons with 16 assists and eight digs. Outside hitter 
Heidi Lensing had 10 digs and five kills while defensive specialist 
Katy Ness had 12 digs and middle blocker 
Meredith Egeland lead all Dragon hitters with seven kills. 
The Dragons return home next weekend to celebrate Homecoming. The festivities kick off Monday, Sept. 19 with Nemzek Night at 6 p.m. followed by the pep rally at 9 p.m. On Thursday, Sept 22 Athletics Director 
Doug Peters will test his chili making skills in the Dragon Bash Chili Feed Competition in front of Livingston Lord Library from 11 a.m. - 2p.m. 
 On Friday, Sept. 23 the Dragon volleyball team takes on St. Cloud State Univeristy. Following the game is the burning of the 'M' and a fire works show. 
Saturday, Sept. 24 events go as follows:
- 8 a.m. - 5k Walk. Starting line by Livingston Lord Library. 
- 8:30 a.m. - 5k Run. Starting line by Livingston Lord Library
- 9 a.m. - Kids 1k Fun Walk
-10:30 a.m. - Homecoming Parade
-11 a.m. - Tailgating att Alex Nemzek Hall
-1 p.m. - Homecoming football game vs. UMC
- 4 p.m. Homecoming volleyball game vs. Concordia, St. Paul
