MOORHEAD, Minn. - The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team looks to bounce back at home this weekend against the University of Mary (N.D.) and Northern State (S.D.).
The Dragons fell this past weekend on the road for the first time this season. The Huskies of St. Cloud State and the Golden Bears of Concordia University took their games 1-0 and 3-0, respectively. The weekend's leaders included
Erin Nyberg who took thee shots on goal followed by
Cody Krieg and
Ashley Swanson with two each. Carole Brashcayko totaled six saves compared to
Victoria Hoffman's four.
The last time the Dragons faced the Marauders, the game resulted in a 2-2 tie in Bismarck, N.D. The series record is 1-8-2, favored by the Marauders. MSU Moorhead will take on the University of Mary Saturday at 1 p.m.
A Wolves 2-0 victory over the Dragons in Aberdeen, S.D. was the last result between the two. The series record is held by the Wolves at 3-11-2. The Dragons will face the Wolves on Sunday at 1 p.m.
