MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragon volleyball team faced the nationally rank No. 6 Southwest Minnesota State University Mustangs and dropped the match 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-17).
The Dragons were lead by the Papa John's player of the game
Annie Palmquist. The freshman outside hitter put down eight kills and had one block assist. Junior setter
Anna Olson posted 26 assists and six digs.
Other contributors were junior defensive specialist
Katy Ness with 20 digs and sophomore defensive specialist
Angie Waller with 10 digs.
Tonight's loss moves the Dragons to 3-3 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and 5-8 on the season.
Tomorrow night the Dragons return to Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse to take on nationally ranked No. 13 Minnesota State University Mankato (9-5).
