Box Score MOORHEAD, Minn. - The first three game win streak of the season for the Minnesota State University Moorhead women's basketball team comes in the form of a 77-53 road win against Minnesota, Crookston. The Dragons (9-9, 6-8 NSIC) revenged an early season home loss by defeating the Golden Eagles (8-10, 5-9 NSIC) in Lysaker Gym.
Kaycee Charette stroke first in the game by pulling down a
Taylor Shepard miss and laying it back in. Following another Charette score, Crookston was able to grab their biggest lead at 8-4.
Megan Strese, scoring 17 points in the first half, started a 9-0 run from the Dragons. Back-and-forth scoring ensued until
Angie Jetvig converted a defensive rebound into two points, putting the Dragons up 28-17 with just under 10 minutes to play in the first. With the score in the paint, Jetvig moved past Kristin Engledorf for fifth place all-time in Dragons scoring.

The momentum from the Dragons would carry through into second half play.
Despite the below par play from the home team, Carly Rothstein came out of the locker rooms and hit a 3-pointer to bring the Golden Eagles to within 10 points of the Dragons. Not liking the look on the floor, head coach

Morgan Zabel, sank her first 3-pointer of the game with over seven minutes in regulation. The 3-ball gave the Dragons their biggest lead on the day, 67-41. The Dragons held the lead to over 20 points the rest of the way and finished strong with a final score of 77-53.
