MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead men's basketball team (5-0) makes its first trip into Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play on Saturday when it plays at Northern State. Game time is 7 p.m. at the Barnett Center in Aberdeen, S.D.
The Dragons are coming off of a 79-66 win over Valley City State on Tuesday, while Northern State (3-2) beat Dickinson State, 74-64 in its last action on Nov. 18. The Wolves will face Carleton College on Wednesday night.
MSUM and Northern State will meet for a 95th time, with the Wolves leading the all-time series 61-33. The Dragons swept both meetings a year ago, winning 81-74 in Aberdeen before earning a 66-60 win in Moorhead. In 2010-11, the two teams split the two meetings.

About Northern State
Northern State is 3-2 on the year; the Wolves faced Carleton on Wednesday night. The Wolves have won three straight after two losses to open the season.
The Wolves are led in scoring by Michael Emge, who is at 11.2 points per game, while Collin Pryor is at 10.8 points per game. Six different Northern players average 7.8 points per game or more.
