MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead men's basketball team takes its seven-game winning streak on the road this week for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference contests. The Dragons play at Concordia-St. Paul for an 8 p.m. contest on Friday before concluding the weekend Saturday at No. 11-ranked Minnesota State, Mankato for a 6 p.m. game.
The Dragons (12-1, 6-1 NSIC) are coming off of a 5-0 homestand, which included wins over Minnesota-Crookston (71-66) and Bemidji State (82-48). The Dragons are receiving 26 votes in the latest NABC Division II Coaches poll and are just outside the top 25 (in 28th).
Concordia-St. Paul lost a pair of NSIC games on the road last weekend, while MSU Mankato is tied for first in the NSIC along with MSUM and Northern State (all at 6-1.)
The Dragons and Concordia will meet for a 25th time, with MSUM holding a 14-10 series edge. The Golden Bears won the last meeting, 84-71, on Jan. 20, 2012.
The Dragons and Mankato will meet for an 89th time with the Mavericks holding a 59-29 lead. MSUM edged the Mavericks, 66-65 on Jan. 2, 2012.

About MSUM
The Dragons stretched their winning streak to seven games with a pair of NSIC home wins last weekend. MSUM beat Minnesota-Crookston, 71-66, thanks to 21 points from senior
Anthony Tucker, and followed with a dominant 82-48 win over Bemidji State on Jan. 5. Tucker led the way with 19 points.
Tucker leads the Dragons at 20.8 points per game, a mark that is tied for 18th in all of Division II. He also leads the team in three-pointers (34) and assists (55). He is also shooting an impressive 88.1 percent (59-of-67) from the free-throw line. Senior
Alex Novak is having a solid year at 13.4 points and a team-best 8.9 rebounds per game. He also leads with 23 blocks. Sophomore
Jordan Riewer averages 11.7 points per game for the Dragons, who average 77.4 points per game as a team and allow 63.5. MSUM shoots 50.3 percent from the field.
Chad Walthall is in his third season at MSUM with a record of 48-23 at the school.
About Concordia-St. Paul
Concordia-St. Paul is 2-9 overall and 0-7 in the NSIC. The Golden Bears lost two tough games on the road last weekend, falling to Wayne State, 61-55 and Augustana, 67-66. Concordia's seven NSIC losses have come by a combined 40 points, an average of less than six points per game.
Terez VanPelt leads CSP at 19.5 points and 4.1 assists per game, while Cole Olstad is at 14.3 points per game and a team-best 5.5 rebounds per game. Isaiah Thomas averages 12.6 points per game. As a team the Golden Bears average 69.7 points per game and shoot 42.6 percent from the field. They are being out rebounded 35.6-33.2 and are allowing 73.5 points per game.
Kelly Boe is in his seventh season as Concordia's head coach with a record of 93-84 at the school.
About MSU Mankato
No. 11-ranked Minnesota State Mankato is 10-1 overall and 6-1 in the NSIC. The Mavericks, who will face Northern State prior to facing MSUM, have won four in a row, including a road sweep of Augustana (60-48) and Wayne State (66-54) last weekend.
Assem Marel leads MSU at 12.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game, while Jarvis Williams is averaging 12.5 points per game and Zach Monaghan is at 12.1 points per game. As a team Mankato averages 77.5 points per game and shoots 48.1 percent from the field. They outrebound their opponents 40.0-27.5 and allow 62.8 points per game.
Matt Margenthaler is in his 12th season as MSU Mankato's head coach with a record of 236-105 at the school.

Alex Novak is at 992 career points, just eight away from 1,000, and is also at 863 rebounds, which is third all-time and just 137 away from the all-time school record. Novak is also the school's all-time record holder with 197 blocks. Novak is also second all-time in the NSIC in career rebounds with 654; he trails all-time leader Gus Johnson of Winona State by 165 for that mark.
Tucker is at 961 career points and is just 39 from 1,000 for his collegiate career.
