MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead men's basketball team wraps up a five-game homestand this week with a pair of games. The Dragons open the week with a nonconference game against Jamestown on Tuesday and then will open Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play on Saturday against Northern State.
MSUM will meet Jamestown for a 71st time, with the series tied at 35-35. MSUM won the last meeting, 79-59 on Dec. 18, 2009. The Dragons and Northern State will meet for a 97th time with the Wolves leading the series 63-33. Northern State won both meetings a year ago.

The Dragons improved to 3-0 with a 102-55 rout of neighboring rival Concordia College on Friday night. Sophomore
Ben Figini led the way with 16 points while junior
Malik Wood had 12 points.

MSUM is dominating the glass so far as well, outrebounding the opposition 44.7-27.3. The Dragons are allowing only 48 points per game.
Chad Walthall is in his fourth season as MSUM's head coach with a record of 58-33 at the school.
About Jamestown
The Jimmies are 4-6 overall on the season. They lost to Montana State University-Northern, 69-57 on Sunday at home. Jamestown is officially 0-1 against the NSIC this year, losing to Minnesota Crookston 88-79 on Saturday. The Jimmies have lost to Northern State (78-73) and Minnesota State, Mankato (81-59) in games they classified as exhibitions.
Three Jimmie players are averaging in double figures, led by Mark Hoge at 18.6 points per game. Brequan Tucker is at 15.2 points per game while Breshion Tucker is at 12.9 points per game. Hoge leads at 5.1 rebounds per game and also leads the team in assists (52) and steals (25). As a team, the Jimmies are scoring 89.2 points per game and allowing 79.9. Jamestown is shooting 48.9 percent from the field, including 42.5 percent from three-point range. The Jimmies are outrebounding their opponents 37.0.35.3.
Justin Wieck is in his second season as Jamestown's head coach with a record of 12-32 at the school.
About Northern State
The Wolves are off to a 4-1 start to the season. They will face Mayville State on Monday prior to facing MSUM. Northern State has won four in a row, including an 81-64 win over Dickinson State on Nov. 17. Jared Hannigan led the way with 15 points for Northern State.
Junior Seth Bachand leads Northern at 14.8 points per game, while Skye Warwick is at 11.8 and senior Trent Zomer at 11.4. Bachand leads at 6.4 rebounds per game while Zomer and Hannigan each lead with 11 assists. The Wolves are averaging 80.8 points per game and allowing 74.2. Northern State is shooting 52.2 percent from the field, including 34.9 percent from three-point range. The Wolves are outrebounding their foes 34.8-28.8.
