WAYNE, Neb. -- Sophomore goalkeeper
Ashley Leintz had 14 saves, but the Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team fell short at Wayne State on Sunday, dropping a 1-0 decision to the Wildcats in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action in Wayne, Neb.
Leintz, who is having an outstanding season with 37 saves in three starts and a 1.19 goals allowed average, had nine saves in the first half and five in the second half for the Dragons (0-5, 0-3 NSIC).
Wayne State (1-5, 1-2 NSIC) took the lead when Makenzie Evans scored on a penalty kick at the 27:57 mark of the first half. That would prove to be the lone goal of the contest.

Jessica Johnson led the Dragons with four shots, including three on goal, while junior
Stephanie Lindo had two shots on goal. Freshman
Molly Strong had two shots, including one on goal.
The Dragons return home next weekend for a pair of NSIC games, starting on Saturday with Minnesota State. The game, which is part of MSUM's Homecoming celebration, begins at noon at MSUM's Soccer Field.
