MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead men's basketball team wraps up a stretch of four straight road games this week with contests at Minnesota Duluth at 8 p.m. on Friday and at St. Cloud State at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
The Dragons are 12-4 overall and 8-4 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and in a three-way tie for second in the NSIC North Division along with St. Cloud State and Northern State. Bemidji State leads the north with a 9-3 mark.
MSUM will meet Minnesota Duluth for a 115th time with the Bulldogs holding a 77-37 lead. The two teams split a year ago. The Dragons will meet St. Cloud State for a 123rd time with the Huskies leading the all-time series 83-39. Both teams won on their home court a year ago.

MSUM split on the road last weekend, losing at Bemidji State, 77-71 on Friday despite 19 points from senior guard

Urbane Bingham leads MSUM at 12.3 points per game, while Clark is at 11.1 points per game and junior
Jordan Riewer is at 10.6. Clark leads with 7.1 rebounds per game and with 21 total steals. Riewer leads with 59 assists.
MSUM scores 85.3 points per game -- second-best in the NSIC -- and is shooting 48.1 percent from the field, including 40.6 percent from three-point range. The Dragons outrebound their foes 39.2-31.3 and are allowing 69.8 points per contest.
Chad Walthall is in his fourth season as MSUM's head coach with a record of 67-37 at the school.
About Minnesota Duluth
The Bulldogs are 7-9 overall and 5-7 in the NSIC. They split on the road last weekend, beating Minot State, 88-80 on Friday before losing to Mary, 83-67 on Saturday.
UMD, which is 6-1 at home this season, is led by Jordan Reetz at 16.2 points per game while Peter Crawford averages 16.1 and Reece Zoelle is at 14.8 points per game. Zoelle leads at 5.6 rebounds per game while Crawford has 41 assists and 12 steals.
The Bulldogs are averaging 71.2 points per game and are shooting 43.8 percent from the field, including 33.1 percent from three-point range. UMD is being outrebounded by its opposition 35.0-30.9 and teams are scoring 76.9 points per game against the Bulldogs. Foes are shooting 45.8 percent from the field against Minnesota Duluth this season.
Matt Bowen is in his second season as UMD's head coach with a record of 15-28 at the school.
About St. Cloud State
St. Cloud State is 12-4 overall and 8-4 in the NSIC. The Huskies split on the road last weekend, losing to Mary, 88-83 in double overtime on Friday before beating Minot State 88-85 in overtime on Saturday.
The Huskies, who are 8-0 at home this season, are led by Jordan Poydras, who averages 15.8 points per game, and Matt Craggs, who averages 12.9 points per game. Kevin Levandoski averages 10.9 points per game while Damarius Cruz is at 10.6. Craggs leads at 6.8 rebounds per game while Levandoski leads with 54 assists and 38 steals.
As a team, St. Cloud State averages 81.6 points per game and shoots 45.3 percent from the field. The Huskies are being outrebounded by their opposition, 37.1-34.6. Teams are scoring 71.8 points per game against them this season and are shooting 45 percent from the field.
Kevin Schlagel is in his 17th season as St. Cloud State's head coach with a record of 333-153 at the school.

Jordan Riewer is ranked fifth in all of Division II in free-throw percentage at 92.7 percent. He is 38-of-41 so far this season.

Senior
Tarell Clark is having a solid all-round season for MSUM. He is second on the team in scoring (11.1) but leads the team in rebounding (7.1 per game) and steals (21). Clark is shooting 54.2 percent from the field, best of any team in the Dragon rotation, and also has an impressive 49 offensive rebounds. Clark scored a career-high 26 points on 10-of-16 shooting in MSUM's 87-63 win over Minnesota Crookston on Saturday.

MSUM has won 12 games at home, dating back to the end of the 2012-13 season. The Dragons are an impressive 43-10 at home during Head Coach
Chad Walthall's tenure, including a perfect 14-0 against nonconference foes. The Dragons are 33-10 against NSIC foes at Nemzek Fieldhouse. MSUM's last home loss was on Feb. 9, 2013 against Wayne State. Six of the Dragons' final eight regular-season games are at home.
