WINONA, Minn. – A goal by Mehan Bolton in the 13th minute proved to be the difference as Winona State edged Minnesota State University Moorhead, 1-0 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference women's soccer Saturday in Winona, Minn.
MSUM fell to 1-6-3 overall and 1-6-1 in the NSIC while Winona State improved to 8-3 overall and 5-3 in the league.
Bolton's goal at the 12:45 mark proved to be the only scoring of the contest.
Senior goalkeeper
Ashley Leintz had a strong performance in net for MSUM, recording 16 saves, a season-high.

Jessica Johnson and
Megan Selanders each had two shots for MSUM while sophomore
Kylee Billings and freshman
Kendall Schauer had shots on goal.
MSUM wraps up the weekend road trip on Sunday at Upper Iowa. Game time is 11 a.m. in Fayette, Iowa.
