MOORHEAD, Minn. – Despite a 31-17 edge in shots, the Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team had to settle for a tie with the University of Sioux Falls on Sunday as the game finished in a 0-0 draw in Moorhead, Minn.
The Dragons applied heavy pressure to USF goalkeeper Morgan Perkins but were unable to score a goal.  Sophomore forward Mackenzie Carlson had 13 shots, including a game-high seven on goal, to lead MSUM. Junior forward Jessica Johnson had eight shots, including five on goal. Junior midfielder Micah Palmer had two shots on goal for the Dragons.
MSUM had a 12-2 edge in shots in the first half with several opportunities but the game stayed scoreless.
Sophomore goalkeeper Reagan VonBerge, making her first collegiate start, had seven saves to earn the shutout for MSUM.
MSUM will host its final home game of the regular season on Oct. 30 against Minot State. The game, which will be MSUM's Senior Day, begins at 3 p.m.
