Box Score WINONA, Minn. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead volleyball team fell to No. 24-ranked Winona State University in four sets Friday night 25-22, 20-25, 25-20, and 17-25. Despite the loss, senior setter Casie Baer surpassed 2,000 set assists for her career early in the match.Â
The Dragons are now 11-5 on the season and 4-4 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. Winona State is 9-6 overall and 3-5 in conference play.

Senior middle blocker Kaitlin VanWinkle and sophomore middle blocker Carly Masloski had 11 kills apiece and hit .194 and .162, respectively, to pace MSUM. VanWinkle added five blocks and Masloski had four. Senior outside hitter Abby Wolpern had nine kills and sophomore hitter Claire Grimm had eight. Senior setter Casie Baer handed out 36 assists and 19 digs while senior libero Amber Krenske added 23 digs.
  The Warriors took the first and second sets before the Dragons would come out firing in set three. With the set tied 13, MSUM would take the lead at 14-13 on another kill by Wolpern. The set was tied at 19 before the Dragons would get a spark on a block by Masloski and Hartkopf and would not trail the remainder of the set. The Dragons brought the set to match point at 24-20 on a setter dump by Baer and would put the set away on a kill by Masloski.

The Dragons kept the fourth set close throughout, but the Warriors would pull away at the end taking the set 25-17, and the match, 3-1.

The Dragons are back on the road tomorrow to face Upper Iowa. The match will be played in Fayette, Iowa at 3 p.m.
