Live StatsLive Video/AudioThe Minnesota State University Moorhead women's basketball team makes its 2015-16 home regular-season debut on Thursday night when the Dragons play host to nonconference foe Mayville State. Tip off is at 6 p.m. at Nemzek Fieldhouse in Moorhead, Minn.
MSUM and Mayville will square off for a 41st time with the Dragons holding a 28-12 lead in the series. The last meeting between the two teams came on Nov. 9, 2013 when the Dragons prevailed 81-64.

About MSUMMSUM is 2-0 on the season after opening the season with a pair of nonconference wins in Las Vegas. The Dragons beat Northwest Nazarene, 92-88 in overtime on Saturday and then followed with a 63-58 win over Central Missouri on Sunday.

About Mayville StateMayville State suffered an 82-61 loss to Bemidji State on Tuesday night. Jenna Lundon had 14 points for Mayville while Joelle Ertl had 13. Liza Hoglo had 12 rebounds. The Comets were down 36-29 at halftime but were outscored 46-32 in the second half in the game, which counted for Bemidji State but was an exhibition for Mayville. Â
Mayville State is 4-4 on the regular season and entered the week on a four-game losing streak. The Comets lost to Northwestern (Iowa), 92-77 on Nov. 13 and then fell to Dordt (87-52) on Nov. 14. Mayville opened the season with four straight wins. Senior guard Jenna Lundon leads Mayville at 19.6 points per game, followed by senior guard Liza Hoglo at 16.4 and sophomore guard Joelle Ertl at 15.5. Hoglo leads at 9.4 rebounds per game while sophomore forward Andi Gayner averages 7.8. Ertl averages 4.1 assists per game while also recording 14 steals this season. Â
Mayville State averages 80.0 points per game and allows 78.5. The Comets outrebound their opponents 41.9.-40.9.
Dennis Hutter is in his 10th season as the Mayville State head coach.
