MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Dragon Athletics will be kicking off MSUM's Veterans Week activities with Veterans Appreciation Day on Saturday, Nov. 7.  Members who show a military ID will get free admission to the Dragon football and volleyball games. Free t-shirts will also be given to veterans upon admission.  Active and former members of the military will be recognized for their service during Saturday's games.

While attending Saturday's games, attendees will be able to write a personalized message to thank any current or former military members for their service. All messages will be posted in the entrance hallway of Nemzek Hall for the remainder of MSUM's Veterans Week.

Before the football game, the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 941 will present the colors and will be accompanied by the Veterans Club, who will be presenting a flag for each of the five branches of the military.

Dragon football vs. University of Mary will begin at 1 p.m., which will also be senior day, followed by Dragon volleyball vs. Bemidji State University at 4 p.m. Volleyball will hold its senior day on Friday against Minnesota Crookston and will hold parents' day on Saturday vs. Bemidji.

Both football and volleyball games will be televised on WDAY'Z XTRA with pre-game coverage starting at 12:45 pm.
