MOORHEAD, Minn. — Four Minnesota State University Moorhead players scored in double figures as the Dragons beat St. Catherine, 77-59 in exhibition women's basketball Thursday night at Nemzek Fieldhouse in Moorhead, Minn.

Morgan Banasik had 15 points to pace a balanced Dragon attack. Senior forward

Natalie Van Wyhe and sophomore forward
Drew Sannes had 11 points each. Senior forward
Heather Strese and freshman forward
Madison Brekke each had eight points. Ten of the 11 Dragons who played scored.
Sannes led with six rebounds while Van Wyhe had four assists. Banasik, Handevidt and Sannes each had two steals.
MSUM was out rebounded 34-30 but committed just 11 turnovers to 26 for St. Kate's. MSUM had a 28-13 advantage in points off of turnovers.
MSUM shot 46.3 percent (31-of-67) for the game while St. Kate's shot 50 percent (22-of-44).
Lashay Holt led St. Kate's with a game-high 24 points and seven rebounds. Kennedy Jennings had five assists, a game-high.
The Dragons open the 2015-16 regular season on Nov. 14 against Northwest Nazarene in Las Vegas. Game time is 1 p.m. Central time in Las Vegas.
