MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Junior guard
Meghan Roehrich poured in a game-high 31 points to lead the Minnesota State University Moorhead women's basketball team to an 89-56 rout of St. Cloud State in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action Saturday night in Moorhead, Minn.

Karla Nelson -- and 13-7 in the NSIC with the win. The Huskies fell to 14-10 overall and 10-10 in the league. The Dragons trail Northern State by one game with two NSIC regular-season games remaining.
Roehrich missed a career-high in points by one (she had 32 in a win over San Francisco State earlier this season). She finished 11-of-20 from the field and hit a career-high six 3-pointers. She added six rebounds and two assists.

MSUM shot 46.9 percent (30-of-64) from the field for the game while holding St. Cloud State to just 29.9 percent shooting (20-of-67). The Dragons had a 45-38 edge in rebounds.
The Dragons used a pair of key stretches in each half to take control of the game. In the first half, MSUM trailed 13-12 with 11:10 left but scored 13 points in a row to take a 25-13 lead with 7:42 left in the half. That run saw five different Dragons score, led by Van Wyhe, junior forward

MSUM led 34-22 at halftime, thanks to 10 points from Thorson. MSUM shot 38.7 percent (12-of-31) in the first half compared to 22.6 percent (7-of-31) for St. Cloud State.
The Huskies cut the lead to eight 1:10 into the second half before the Dragons seized total control with a 21-0 run, which was led by 14 points from Roehrich. That run pushed MSUM's lead to 55-26 with 13:28 left. It was all Dragons from there as MSUM stretched its lead to as many as 36 on its want to the 33-point rout.

Mallie Doucette had four assists in 17 minutes off the bench.
Roehrich is a junior eligibility-wise but will graduate in May with a double major in chemistry and biology. She was honored after the game as part of Senior Night.
The Dragons hit the road to face Bemidji State at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20 in Bemidji, Minn.

Meghan Roehrich played in her 78th game for the Dragons tonight and has helped her team to a 45-33 record. Including tonight, she has scored in 54 consecutive games (the last time Roehrich didn't register a point was in an 81-79 home loss to the University of Mary on Feb. 22, 2013). Roehrich has also dropped at least 20 points on her opponent 12 times (two times last year, and ten times this year including tonight). The Dragons are 9-3 when Roehrich has scored at least 20 (4-0 at home and 5-3 on the road).
