WAYNE, Neb.--The No. 6 Minnesota State University Moorhead men's basketball team set a school record for most wins in a season with a 86-65 win over Wayne State on Friday night in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play. The Dragons' 25 wins this season bested the previous mark of 24 set in 1970-71 and 1981-82. The win also marked the best start in school history. The '70-71 team started 24-1 before dropping its final game of the season.
With the win, the Dragons are now 25-1 on the season and 16-1 in the NSIC. With the loss, the Wayne State Wildcats dropped to 5-18 and 2-15 in the NSIC.
The Dragons shot exceptionally well from the field again on Friday night, shooting 58.5 percent (31-of-53) while holding Wayne State to 34.4 percent (22-of-64) from the field. MSUM also shot 77.8 percent (21-of-27) from the free throw line in the game and outrebounded the Wildcats 39-31.

Jordan Riewer led the team in scoring with 18 points as all 10 players who saw action for the Dragons scored in the game. Riewer also had three assists to lead the team and was 9-of-10 from the free throw line. Senior guard
Prescott Williams led the team in rebounds with seven while contributing 10 points. Junior forward
Urbane Bingham had 11 points and three rebounds in the game.

Isaac Sevlie scored six of the Dragons' first eight points as the MSUM jumped out to an 8-4 lead just under four minutes into the game. The Wildcats took the lead or tied the game four more times before a layup from sophomore forward
Matt Nelson with 8:48 left in the half gave the Dragons the lead for good at 22-20. The Dragons ended the half on a 22-10 run as they took a 42-30 lead heading into the break. The Dragons got a big boost from their bench in the half, as they scored 18 points. Junior guard
Ngijol Songolo had six points and Bingham had five.
Prescott WilliamsMSUM opened the second half on a 27-5 run to grab its largest lead of the night at 32 points when Songolo hit a fast-break three-pointer to give the Dragons a 69-37 lead with 12:09 left in the game. Williams had seven points in the run, converting two three-point plays in the process. The Wildcats cut the lead to 15 in the final 10 minutes of the game, but the Dragons pushed it back to 21 after a free throw from junior guard
Evan Holt, closing out the scoring at 86-65.
The Dragons will be back in action tomorrow night, when it travels to Sioux Falls, S.D. to face No. 4 Augustana. Both teams enter Saturday's contest with a 16-1 record in the NSIC. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. from the Sioux Falls Arena.
