MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team settled for a 0-0 double-overtime tie with Spring Hill College (Ga.) in non conference action Sunday at the MSUM Soccer Field in Moorhead, Minn.
MSUM is now 0-0-2 on the year while Spring Hill is 0-1-1. The Dragons opened with a 1-1 tie at Jamestown on Friday.
Senior goalkeeper
Ashley Leintz had another strong performance in net, stopping 13 shots and keeping Spring Hill off the scoreboard for the full 110 minutes. Spring Hill had a 26-21 edge in shots, including a 13-11 edge in shots on goal.
Junior forward
Jessica Johnson and junior defender
Gabrielle Bjorge each had three shots on goal for the Dragons, while sophomore
Mackenzie Carlson and freshman
Jessica Dallman had two each. Johnson had seven shots overall while Carlson had four.
The Dragons are off until Sept. 13 when they play host to Northern State to open the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference season. Game time is 3 p.m.
