MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Women's Soccer team lost a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference game on Saturday afternoon to Minnesota State Mankato (9-3-1, 8-2 NSIC) by a score of 2-0.
MSUM is now 3-9 overall and 2-8 in the NSIC.

Lindsey Brownell each had a shot on goal in the game for the Dragons. Junior goalkeeper Raegan VonBerge made 13 saves, while junior goalkeeper
Corina Edgington had one save.
The Mavericks totaled 28 shots on the day, and grabbed an early 1-0 lead on a goal by Maddy Burandt assisted by Alesha Duccini and Taylor Kenealy. Late in the second half Dakota Wendell scored an unassisted goal giving the final score of 2-0.
The Dragons return to action on Sunday, Oct. 16 for a NSIC matchup with Concordia-St. Paul in Moorhead. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
