MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's swimming and diving team claimed seven victories in a 149-113 dual meet win over Northern State in the Dragons' home opener Friday night at the Nemzek Pool in Moorhead, Minn.
MSUM is now 3-4 in duals this season with a dual scheduled at Mary on Sunday.
"We moved most of our swimmers around tonight to try some different events and had many surprises," MSUM head coach
Todd Peters said. "Dragons with lifetime bests included Téa Nyland in the 100 breaststroke (1:10.85),
Danica Scheef in the 500 freestyle (5:30.12),
Leticia Rodovalho in the 200 free (2:03.12) and 500 free (5:30.85), and
Danae Scheef in the 200 IM (2:24.88). Both our 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays were significantly faster than last weekend and we had many people on our 'B', 'C' and 'D' relays making upward moves. We're going back to more of our traditional line-up on Sunday at Mary and we expect to put up some good times in a fast pool."
