MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's swimming and diving team is back in action on Saturday when it hosts Augustana. The dual begins at 2 p.m. at the Nemzek Pool in Moorhead, Minn.
MSUM is 4-4 in duals this season while Augustana is 2-2. The Vikings are a first-year program and will compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships in February.
MSUM went 2-0 in duals last weekend, beating a pair of NSIC foes. The Dragons beat Northern State, 149-113 on Friday and added a win over Mary, 149-110 on Sunday.
In the win over Northern State, MSUM won seven events (diving competed as an exhibition as the Wolves do not have a diving corps). MSUM swept both relays and also got wins from freshman

Courtney Skarie, senior
Ashley Higgins and freshman Téa Nyland.
MSUM won nine events in the dual win over Mary with junior

Madison Kuznia each picking up two wins.

Amber Westereng was named the NSIC Diver of the Week for the first time in her career after posting two lifetime best scores on Oct. 21.
About Augustana
Augustana faces Mary in a dual on Friday night prior to facing MSUM. The Vikings dropped duals to Minnesota State, Mankato (163-106) and UW-Eau Claire (163-120) during a triangular on Oct. 14 in Mankato, Minn. Freshman Emma Miller won two events to lead Augustana, claiming the 1,000 free and 500 free events. Freshman Paige Knight added a pair of runner-up finishes. A first-year program, the Vikings have two sophomores and 15 freshmen on their roster.
Lindsie Micko is in her first season as the Augie head coach.
