BISMARCK, N.D. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team concluded the 2016 season with a 3-0 loss to Mary in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action Sunday in Bismarck, N.D.
MSUM ended the season at 3-14 overall and 2-14 in the NSIC, while Mary ended 4-10-3 overall and 4-9-2 in the league.
Mary had a 21-4 edge in shots, including 8-1 in shots on goal. Junior
Reagan VonBerge had three saves in 66:18 in goal while junior
Corina Edgington had two saves and didn't allow a goal in 23:42 minutes.
Senior
Jessica Johnson led MSUM with two shots, while senior
Megan Selanders and sophomore
Kendall Schauer had one each. Schauer had MSUM's lone shot on goal.
Sunday's game was the final contest for four Dragon seniors: Johnson, Selanders,
Micah Palmer and
Ashley Germann.
"Thank you to the seniors for their dedication and contribution to the Dragon soccer program," MSUM head coach
Christie Chappell said. "Micah, Ashley, Megan and Jessica will be missed."
