MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's basketball team is back on the court this week with a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference home games. The Dragons host Mary at 6 p.m. on Friday and host Minot State at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
MSUM is 4-1 on the season and enters the week on a four-game winning streak.

MSUM will face Minot State for a 24th time and leads the all-time series 18-5. The Dragons swept both meetings in 2015-16. MSUM and Mary will meet for a 38th time with the Dragons leading 24-13, including winning both matches a year ago.
About the Dragons
MSUM stretched its winning streak to four games with wins over Valley City State (65-51) and Northern State (51-44). The win at Northern was the NSIC opener for the Dragons.
Cassidy Thorson averaged 16.5 points per game for the week to lead the Dragons while junior
Drew Sannes posted two more double-doubles.
Thorson leads MSUM at 16.2 points per game, while Sannes averages a double-double at 14.4 points per game and 11.6 rebounds per game. Senior guard
Natalie Van Wyhe averages 3.6 assists per game while also leading with 12 steals. Freshman forward
Megan Hintz averages 4.8 rebounds per game. As a team the Dragons are scoring 60.8 points per game and are shooting 40.3 percent from the field.
MSUM outrebounds its foes 38.4-30.4, and allows 48.6 points per game, which is eighth-best in the nation.
Karla Nelson is in her 17th season as the MSUM head coach with a record of 282-178 at the school.
About Mary
Mary is 6-3 overall and 1-0 in the NSIC after beating Minot State, 67-54 on Nov. 26. Gabbie Bohl had a career-high 29 points to lead the Marauders, who have won five games in a row.
Hannah Larson leads the Marauders at 13.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. Bohl averages 11.2 points and 5.7 rebounds per game while Dani Williams averages 10.2 points a contest. Larson also leads in assists (26), steals (13) and blocks. Mary is scoring 62.3 points per game and shooting 41.4 percent from the field.
The Marauders allow 52.8 points per game and outrebound their foes 38.8-31.4.
Rick Neumann is in his fifth season as the Mary head coach with a record of 60-59.
About Minot State
Minot State fell to 2-5 on the year with a 67-54 loss at Mary on Nov. 26 in Bismarck, N.D. Kari Clements scored 20 points in the losing effort for the Beavers.
Clements leads Minot State at 13.6 points per game, while Mariah Payne averages 11.6 and Diondra Denton 10.9. Kori Eurich averages 10.4 points per game. Denton leads at 5.9 rebounds. Minot State scores 71.1 points per game and shoots 40.5 percent.
Minot State is allowing 77.4 points per game and teams are shooting 47.3 percent against the Beavers this season.
Sheila Green Gerding is in her 22nd season as the Minot State head coach with a record of 359-263.
