The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's basketball team is on the road this week for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference games. The Dragons will play at Minnesota Crookston on Friday (6 p.m. tipoff) and conclude the weekend at Bemidji State on Saturday (4 p.m. tipoff).

MSUM will face Minnesota Crookston for a 38th time with the Dragons holding a 31-6 lead in the series. The two teams split a year ago with each team winning on its home court. MSUM leads the all-time series with Bemidji State 59-39 and swept the Beavers last season.
About the Dragons
MSUM pushed its winning streak to six games with home wins over Mary (82-59) and Minot State (57-46) last weekend. Junior forward
Drew Sannes averaged 24.0 points per game to lead the Dragons, who are now 3-0 at home this season.
Sannes is averaging a double-double for MSUM at 17.1 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. She is shooting a team-best 50 percent from the field (43-of-86). Junior guard
Cassidy Thorson averages 14.4 points per game while sophomore guard
Jacky Volkert averages 9.9 and leads the Dragons in assists (30) and steals (13). MSUM is scoring 63.3 points per game and shooting 41.8 percent from the field.
MSUM outrebounds its foes 38.0-29.4 and allows just 49.7 points per game, which is fourth-best in Division II.
Karla Nelson is in her 17th season as the MSUM head coach with a record of 284-178 at the school.
About Minnesota Crookston
The Golden Eagles are 0-6 overall and 0-2 in the NSIC entering the week. They dropped a pair of road games last week, losing at St. Cloud State, 75-62 and Minnesota Duluth, 84-77. Friday's game against MSUM will be UMC's first home game of 2016-17.
Alison Hughes leads UMC at 17.7 points per game while Iseoma Odor averages 12.5 points and a team-best 8.3 rebounds per game. Those are the only two UMC players averaging in double figures. Kitri Zezza averages 2.1 assists per game for Minnesota Crookston, which is scoring 62.7 points per game and shooting 34.9 percent from the field.
UMC has a slight 38.7-38.2 advantage in rebounds over its opponents this year and is allowing 75.3 points per game.
Mike Roysland is in his 11th season as the UMC head coach with a record of 97-176.
About Bemidji State
Bemidji State is 3-3 overall and 0-2 in the NSIC entering the week and will face Northern State on Friday prior to facing MSUM. The Beavers lost a pair of games on the road last weekend, losing to Minnesota Duluth, 82-73 and St. Cloud State, 111-107 in double overtime.
Four Bemidji players average in double figures: Sierra Senske (13.2), Tatum Sheley (12.2), Aimee Pelzer (11.6) and Sydney Arrington (11.0). Senske leads at 7.2 rebounds per game while Pelter is averaging 4.8 assists per contest. As a team Bemidji State scores 79.3 points per game and shoots 43 percent from the field.
The Beavers outrebound their foes 41.5-39.7 and allow 71 points per contest on defense.
Chelsea DeVille is in her second season as the Bemidji State head coach with a record of 10-23 at the school.
