MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead wrestling team will travel to St. Cloud on Thursday night for a matchup with the No. 1 ranked Huskies. The dual begins at 7 p.m. on the campus of St. Cloud State University.

The match is the lone dual for MSUM this week.

About the Dragons
The Dragons are coming off a weekend where they lost two close conference duals. On Friday night, the Dragons lost 19-13 to Upper Iowa. Senior Blake Bosch picked up a 9-4 win at 133 pounds, while Kristian Vazquez won a 7-3 decision at 141 pounds. Sophomore Adam Blees picked up another win at 174 pounds, while senior Nader Abdullatif ended the night with a 12-1 major decision victory.

On Saturday, the Dragons fell to Minnesota State Mankato 22-18. Bosch picked up his second win of the weekend in that dual, and was joined in victory by sophomore Dylan Connell, who won his 149 pound match via fall and Isaac Novacek, who won a 6-4 decision at 157. Abdullatif again finished the match off with a win, this one a pin over Chris Zimmer, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Mavericks.

The trip to St. Cloud begins a stretch for the Dragons that will see them wrestle five road matches, with just one home match before the Super 3 regional tournament, which will be hosted by MSUM.

Bosch leads MSUM with a 20-1 record while Abdullatif is 14-7 at 285. Sophomore Adam Blees is 12-6 at 174, sophomore Dylan Connell is 11-9 at 149 while Novacek is 12-10 at 157.

Head coach Kris Nelson is in his eighth season as head coach of the Dragons.
