BISMARCK, N.D. – Minnesota State University Moorhead had nine players score, with four double digit scorers in an 84-69 win on the road at the University of Mary (5-11, 3-7 NSIC) on Saturday evening in Bismarck, N.D. Junior guard
Tanner Kretchman scored a team-high 18 points.
MSUM improved to 13-3, 8-2 NSIC with tonight's win.
How it Happened…
The first half was a back-and-for battle with MSUM's largest lead being three points, and Mary's being four points. The Dragons shot 59.3 percent from the field, while the Marauders shot 60.7 percent.
The Dragons started off the game with the first points, and led by one just over halfway through the first half, 23-22. Mary managed to build a 31-27 lead late in the first half, but the Dragons battled back and went into halftime tied 41-41. Kretchman had a team-high nine points in the first half, while senior guard

Matt Nelson had eight points apiece.
The Marauders built a 52-46 run out of the half, but a 19-3 run from the Dragons gave MSUM a 65-55 lead and the cushion it needed to put the game away. The Dragons pushed the lead to 18 points with just over a minute left in the game, but won by a margin of 15, 84-69.
MSUM finished the game 29-of-51 from the field (56.9 percent), while U-Mary finished 28-of-61 (45.9 percent). The Dragons bench outscored the Marauders bench 18-14.

Junior guard
Tanner Kretchman went 6-for-10 from the field for 18 points. Kretchman went 4-for-4 at the charity stripe, with seven assists and four rebounds.
Senior guard
Aaron Lien followed close behind with 17 points off 5-of-9 from the field. Lien added three rebounds.

Jon Doss finished the contest with 14 points, eight rebounds and two assists, while senior forward
Matt Nelson went 5-of-6 from the field for 13 points with four rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal.
