MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team battled Augustana tough on Sunday but came up a goal short in a 1-0 loss to the Vikings in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action Sunday in Moorhead, Minn.
MSUM is now 1-6-2 overall and 1-5-1 in the NSIC while Augustana is 7-1-2 overall and 6-0-1 in the league.
"It was a great team effort today," MSUM head coach
Christie Kopietz said. "They really worked hard as a unit and I am very proud of their performance."
Senior goalkeeper
Reagan VonBerge had 13 saves for MSUM while allowing only one goal.
Freshman
Tomomi Nishihara led MSUM withtwo shots, including one on goal, while freshman
Avery Wood had a shot on goal.
The Vikings had a 28-7 edge in shots.
MSUM hosts Minnesota Crookston in a battle for the Highway 75 Rivalry Rock on Friday at 4 p.m.
