ABERDEEN, S.D. — Junior
Taylor Beynon won three events and sophomore
Breah Anderson won two to lead the Minnesota State University Moorhead women's swimming and diving team to a 171-107 win over Northern State in action Friday in Aberdeen, S.D.
MSUM is 1-0 in duals on the season while Northern State fell to 0-3.
Beynon won the 100 breaststroke (1:08.51), 200 breaststroke (2:26.64) and the 400 IM (4:43.11) as she capped off an excellent opening day.
Anderson won the 50 free (24.76) and 100 free (54.26) to start off the season strong.
MSUM's 'B' 200 medley relay won in 1:53.82. That consisted of sophomore
Abby Kostiuk, sophomore
Erin Fons, junior
Sami DuVal and junior
Linnea Johnson.
Senior
Erin Sullivan won the 200 free in 2:00.35.
Sophomore
Noelle Berg won the 1-meter diving (six dives) with a score of 107.35 with junior
Amber Westereng second at 97.50. The divers competed on a shorter-than-normal board.
Sophomore
Leticia Rodovalho won the 100 butterfly in 1:01.30.
MSUM's 200 free relay, consisting of Anderson, Johnson, sophomore
Haley Roed and Sullivan, won in 1:40.49.
Sophomore
Erin Fons, returning to action this year after missing 2016-17 with an injury, had two runner-up finishes (100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke) on the night.
MSUM wraps up the weekend by hosting U-Mary at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Nemzek Pool.
