MOORHEAD, MInn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's swimming and diving team won 11 events on its way to a 197-97 win over U-Mary in action Saturday at the Nemzek Pool in Moorhead, Minn.
MSUM is now 2-0 in duals on the season.
Three Dragons won two events – sophomore
Breah Anderson, senior
Erin Sullivan and junior
Amber Westereng.
Anderson won two more events. She captured the 50 free in 24.28 and also earned the 100 free in 53.96.
Sullivan won the 100 back in 59.34 and also captured the 200 back in 2:12.29.
Amber Westereng won both diving events. She won the 1-meter at 220.50 and the 3-meter at 200.60.
Junior
Taylor Beynon won the 200 breaststroke in 2:29.78 and was second in the 200 free (2:02.84). Sophomore
Erin Fons won the 100 breaststroke in 1:09.65 and added a runner-up finish in the 200 breaststroke. Sophomore
Leticia Rodovalho won the 200 fly in 2:14.38.
MSUM's 'A' relay won the 800 freestyle in 8:14.26. That consisted of Anderson, junior
Linnea Johnson, senior
Megan Gates and Sullivan.
MSUM's 'A' relay also won the 400 medley. That consisted of Sullivan, Beynon, junior
Sami DuVal and Anderson.
Junior
Linnea Johnson had runner-up finishes in the 50 free (25.84) and 100 free (57.02). Sophomore
Grace Moffat was second in the 500 free (5:29.48) while
Molly O'Brien was second in the 1,650 free in 19:04.23. Sophomore
Abby Kostiuk was second in the 100 back in 1:02.56 and second in the 200 back (2:18.16). Sophomore
Courtney Skarie was second in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.65).
MSUM is at the St. Cloud State quad on Oct. 20-21.
