SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Another dominating performance helped the Minnesota State University Moorhead women's swimming and diving team earn a 155-107 win over Augustana in a dual meet Saturday in Sioux Falls, S.D.
MSUM is now 6-4 in duals this season.
The Dragons won 12 of the 14 events staged on Saturday. Junior
Taylor Beynon won three individual events, while senior
Erin Sullivan, sophomores
Breah Anderson and
Leticia Rodovalho each won two.
"When you have a tough road weekend you have to look at each athlete and what they are swimming on both days. Eight races in a span of 18 hours takes a toll," MSUM head coach
Todd Peters said. "Today's meet wasn't about fast times. It was about racing to win each event and we were successful 12 of 14 races. It was a great learning experience and our team truly excelled. We are looking forward to a weekend off before we head to St. Thomas for a tough meet including the top two teams in the conference; Mankato and St. Cloud."
Beynon won the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.89 and earned the victory in the 200 breaststroke in 2:26.71. She added a solid win in the 200 IM in 2:14.70 to cap off her day.
