The Minnesota State University Moorhead football team takes a two-game winning streak on the road this Saturday when it plays at Minot State. Game time is 1 p.m. at Herb Parker Stadium in Minot.
The game will be broadcast online with Dragon broadcasters

Series History
MSUM and Minot State will meet for a 13th time with the Dragons leading the series 8-4. MSUM has won four straight meetings dating back to 2013. Minot State's last win was 31-10 in 2012 in Moorhead.

About MSUM
The Dragons picked up its second straight win with a 51-19 rout of Mary on Oct. 28. The Dragons built a 51-6 lead and cruised to the win in the battle for the Paddle. Freshman quarterback Jakup Sinani threw for 207 yards and two scores and rushed for 94 yards and two scores. Sophomore receiver Hayden Swartz caught two scoring passes. On defense sophomore Carson Zarak had an interception and a fumble recovery.
For the season, senior quarterback Demetrius Carr has thrown for 1,735 yards and nine touchdowns. Senior receiver Damon Gibson has caught 54 passes for 635 yards and three scores while senior receiver Hunter Braaten has 59 catches for 626 yards and a score while redshirt freshman Grady Bresnahan has 35 catches for 498 yards and five scores. Kabambi leads the ground game at 459 yards, an average of 72.8 per game.
MSUM scores 27.7 points a game and records 429.4 yards of total offense per game.
Senior linebacker Abe Roehrich leads the defense with 56 tackles and two fumble recoveries. Junior safety Aaron Doan has 46 tackles while junior linebacker Carter Thiel and senior defensive lineman Jake Busse each have 43. Sophomore defensive lineman Miles Baggett has 10 tackles for loss and leads with four sacks. Senior cornerback Jerry Raye has eight breakups and an interception while junior defensive back Grant Reuer and Zarak have interceptions.
The Dragons allow 25.3 points per game and 326.1 yards of total offense.
About Minot State
The Beavers picked up their second win of the season with a 42-35 win over Minnesota Crookston on Oct. 28. Larry Overstreet's 7-yard run with 18 seconds left provided the winning score. He rushed for 111 yards in the win for Minot.
The Beavers score 16.6 points per game and record 288.2 yards per game of total offense. Overstreet leads the ground game with 569 yards and six scores while senior Zac Cunha is 115-of-222 passing for 1,266 yards and eight touchdowns. Lavante Bushnell has 33 catches for 342 yards and four touchdowns.
Minot allows 31.7 points per game and 401.9 yards of total offense to their opposition. Bryce Broome has 93 tackles and two interceptions to lead the defense while Donnell Vercher has 83 tackles. Justin Gonzales leads with three interceptions while Elijay Mosley has 3.5 sacks. Kiante Goudeau has forced two fumbles.

Carr Sets Another Record
Senior quarterback Demetrius Carr set another MSUM career record on Saturday. With his 76 yards of total offense on Saturday, Carr became the Dragons' all-time leader in total offense with 8,634 yards, surpassing the previous mark of 8,608 by
Jake Hodge. Carr became MSUM's all-time leader in passing yards during the Dragons' contest at Northern State on Sept. 28. Carr now has 7,564 yards passing, with
Jake Hodge in second at 6,929.
Offense Breaks Out
After struggling to score just 21 points in its previous two games, the Dragon offense has exploded for 100 points in MSUM's past two wins. The Dragons have averaged 586 yards of total offense in the two games. MSUM rushed for a season-high 270 yards in the win over U-Mary.
Sinani Starts Fast
Freshman quarterback Jakup Sinani is 2-0 as the Dragons' starting quarterback and has performed well in both wins. Sinani has completed 39-of-53 passes for 583 yards and five touchdowns in the wins, while rushing for 128 yards and three touchdowns as well. He has not been intercepted in either game.
Happy Returns
Redshirt freshman Grady Bresnahan shared the NSIC lead with a 12.6 yard punt return average. Bresnahan had his longest punt return of the season vs. U-Mary, a 44-yard return. He is fourth in the NSIC at 115.2 yards per game of all-purpose yardage.
Braaten Moves Into Top 5
Senior receiver Hunter Braaten has moved into the top five in career receptions at MSUM and moved up a slot after a huge game at Minnesota Crookston. Braaten caught a career-high 15 passes for 136 yards in the 49-7 win. In the last three games he has 27 catches for 285 yards. Braaten has moved into fourth place at MSUM all-time with 168 career catches. He is third in the NSIC in receptions per game at 6.56.
Raye Rises
Junior cornerback Jerry Raye is having a solid season. He shares the Dragon team lead with one interception and leads with nine pass breakups. Raye is tied for eighth in the NSIC with nine pass breakups.
Week 10 Under Laqua
The Dragons are 4-2 in Week 10 games under Head Coach
Steve Laqua. The Dragons lost to Northern State, 42-21 in 2011 and lost at Bemidji State, 35-25 in 2012 before beating Bemidji State 35-17 in 2013. In 2014, the Dragons beat Bemidji State, 27-21; in 2015, MSUM blanked Mary, 37-0 and in 2016, the Dragons edged Bemidji State, 42-41.
