No. 11 Dragon Women Ranked 4th in Latest Central Region Poll

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's basketball team remains ranked fourth in the latest Central Region rankings released on Wednesday.

The top four spots in the rankings remain unchanged in the latest rankings. Emporia State remains ranked first, followed by Harding, Pittsburg State and MSU Moorhead.  The rest of the top eight ranked are Arkansas Tech in fifth, Central Oklahoma in sixth, Augustana and Central Missouri State in eighth.

NSIC schools Wayne State (ninth) and Northern State (10th) are ranked in the top 10 as well.

MSUM is 23-3 on the season and ranked No. 11 in the latest WBCA D2 Coaches Poll. The Dragons won the NSIC regular-season championship and NSIC North Division titles. They enter the postseason on a six-game winning streak. Tonight MSUM hosts Southwest Minnesota State at 6 p.m. in the NSIC/Sanford Health tournament first round.

The top eight teams in the region advance to the NCAA Regional Tournament on March 10-11 and 13. Automatic bids are granted to the winners of the NSIC, GAC and MIAA postseason tournaments, with the remaining five spots being awarded on an at-large basis.
