MOORHEAD, Minn. — The No. 16-ranked Minnesota State University Moorhead women's basketball team plays its final two home games of the regular season this week. MSUM hosts Bemidji State at 6 p.m. on Friday and follows with a 4 p.m. game against Minnesota Crookston on Saturday.
The Century Traveling Trophy will go to
the winner of the MSUM-Bemidji Game on Friday.
MSUM is 2-0 on the homestand so far. The Dragons (19-3, 16-2 NSIC) lead the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference by two games over Winona State and Sioux Falls heading into this week's action, and have clinched a share of the NSIC North title. MSUM will clinch a share of the NSIC title with two wins this week.
MSUM will face BSU for a 104th time and holds a 64-39 series lead. The two teams will be playing for the Century Trophy for the first time; the winner of the second meeting between the two teams each year will hold the traveling trophy for the next year. The Dragons crushed BSU 102-50 in December. MSUM will meet UMC for a 39th time and leads the series 32-6, including an 87-60 victory in December.

About the Dragons
The Dragons, ranked No. 16 in the latest WBCA poll, enter the week at 19-3 overall and 16-2 in the NSIC. MSUM won a pair of close games at home last weekend, beating No. 20 Winona State, 70-66 in overtime and topping Upper Iowa 69-66.
Junior forward
Drew Sannes leads MSUM at 15.4 points and 8.6 rebounds per game, while junior guard
Cassidy Thorson averages 14.6 points per game. Sophomore
Jacky Volkert averages 12.4 points per game and leads with 102 assists and 28 steals. Senior guard
Natalie Van Wyhe leads the NSIC in assist to turnover ratio.
The Dragons allow 57.9 points per game, third-best in the NSIC. Teams are shooting only 38.4 percent against the Dragons this season. MSUM outrebounds its foes 37.0-32.0 and scores 70.4 points per game.
Karla Nelson is in her 17th season as the MSUM head coach with a record of 297-180 at the school.
About Bemidji State
Bemidji State is 6-16 overall and 3-15 in the NSIC. The Beavers have lost five in a row, including road losses at Wayne State and Augustana last weekend.
Aimee Pelzer leads Bemidji State at 15.9 points per game while Tatum Sheley averages 11.6. Sierra Senske averages 11.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Pelzer leads at 5.1 assists per game.
Bemidji State scores 68.8 points a game and shoots 40.9 percent from the field. The Beavers are being outrebounded 38.5-36.4 and are allowing 72.2 points per game.
Chelsea DeVille is in her second season as Bemidji State with a record of 13-36 at the school.

Minnesota Crookston enters the game at 6-16 overall and 6-12 in the NSIC. The Golden Eagles have lost four in a row, including road losses at Augustana and Wayne State last weekend.
Alison Hughes leads UMC at 16.9 points per game while Isieoma Odor averages 13.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Micaela Noga averages 9.3 points per contest and leads with 2.2 assists per game. Odor has 33 blocks.
UMC scores 67.3 points per game and shoots 38.5 percent from the field. The Golden Eagles are being outrebounded 39.0-35.6 and are allowing 74.9 points per game. Teams are shooting 45.1 percent against them this season.
