MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's swim and dive team will look to add to its win total as it plays host to Northern State on Friday. The action will begin at 6 p.m. at the Nemzek Pool in Moorhead, Minn.
The Dragons are coming off a 180-117 dual meet win over the University of Mary. The win marked Charlie King's first victory as the Dragon head coach.
Three Dragons won two events—senior
Taylor Beynon, junior
Breah Anderson, and
Katelin Winter. Beynon won the 100 breast in 1:08.31 and the 200 breaststroke at 2:25.73. She was second to Winter in the 200 IM at 2:15.29. Anderson won the 50 free in 24.37 and claimed the 100 free in 53.40. Winter won the 500 free in 5:20.10, the 200 IM in 2:14.38, and was second in the 200 free in 2:00.39.
Senior
Amber Westereng had a personal-best of 232.60 in the 1-meter diving to with the event over junior
Noelle Berg, who had a score of 200.20. Westereng was rewarded for her efforts by being named NSIC Diver of the Week.
The Dragons' 200 medley 'A' relay, consisting of Bray, Beynon, senior
Linnea Johnson and Anderson, won in 1:50.55, edging the U-Mary team by .07 seconds. MSUM's 400 free relay won in 3:42.72. That consisted of Johnson, Bray, junior
Haley Roed and Anderson.

About Northern State
Northern is 0-4 overall and 0-2 in NSIC action. Last week, the Wolves dropped matchups to Northern Michigan (224-70) and St. Cloud State (197-92). Hannah Kastiger has been a bright light for the Wolves after being named NSIC Swimmer of the Week for the second consecutive week. Last week she picked up wins in the 200 butterfly, 200 backstroke, 200 IM, and the 75 butterfly. The Wolves recorded six top-five finishes in 16 events on Saturday.
