MAPLETON, N.D, — Led by freshman Olivia Koskela and sophomore Jill Safranski, the Minnesota State University Moorhead women's golf team defeated Minnesota Crookston, 372-389 in a dual on Friday at the Maple River Golf Club in Mapleton, N.D.

The meet wrapped up the fall season for MSUM.

Playing in cold and wet conditions (temperature at 10 a.m. tee times was 38 degrees), the Dragons got solid rounds from Koskela, who was medalist with an 86, and Safranski, who fired an 89.

Freshman Dani Dokken added a 97 for the Dragons, while junior Jessica Lhotak added a 100 and junior Kylie Bergh a 103.

Allison Bot and McKenzie Harris led UMC with 93s.
