The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's basketball team takes a seven-game winning streak into its matchup with Northern State on Wednesday. The contest is at 6 p.m. at Concordia College's Memorial Auditorium.
The Dragons (9-2) swept two Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference contests at home last weekend, beating UMary 76-68 and Minot State 90-65. They are tied with Augustana at 5-0 atop the NSIC heading into this week.

The Dragons will face Northern State for a 79th time and trail the all-time series, 49-29. MSUM won the first meeting on Dec. 1, 47-39 in Aberdeen. Sophomore guard
Kiley Borowicz scored 12 points in that win.
MSUM made its home debut last weekend and picked up two wins. Borowicz averaged 23 points a game on the weekend including scoring a career-high 27 points in the win over Minot. Junior forward
Megan Hintz averaged 15.0 points and 8.0 rebounds.
Borowicz averages 15.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per game and also leads with 23 steals. Hintz averages 13.3 points and 10.5 rebounds per game while Volkert is at 10.8 points and leads at 3.9 assists per game. Redshirt freshman
Peyton Boom averages 5.5 rebounds per game.
As a team MSUM scores 66.4 points per game and shoots 42.4 percent from the field. The Dragons outrebound their foes 42.4-31.8 and allow 55.2 points per game.
Karla Nelson is in her 19th season as the MSUM head coach with a record of 334-190 at the school. Nelson is the second-longest tenured head coach in the NSIC.
About Northern State
The Wolves are 4-6 overall and 2-3 in the NSIC after splitting at home last weekend. They beat Minot State, 57-54 before losing to Mary, 78-71 on Saturday.
Brianna Kusler leads the Wolves at 12.3 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. Lexi Wadsworth averages 11.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while Sara Tvedt averages 9.1 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Brooke Luitjens leads with 2.8 assists per game.
As a team Northern State scores 63.0 points per game and shoots 41.6 percent from the field. The Wolves allow 62.5 points per game and outrebound their foes 38.5-29.4.
Paula Krueger is in her first season as the NSU head coach.
