SEATTLE – The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team dropped a x-x nonconference contest to Seattle Pacific in action Saturday in Seattle.
MSUM fell to 0-2 with the loss.
Freshman goalkeeper
Kayleigh Sedlacek had nine saves for MSUM.
Senior forward
Jessica Dallman had two shots, including one on goal. Juniors
Rachel Jenson and
Maren Soupir and sophomore
Carly Jo Gamrath added shots for the Dragons.
"We showed tremendous improvement from game to game," MSUM head coach
Christie Kopietz said. "The team really played as a unit and executed the game plan. I'm very happy with the performance and am looking forward to the next game."
Seattle Pacific scored a goal at the 25:17 mark of the first half to take a 1-0 lead and added another goal at the 47:42 mark to make it 2-0.
The Dragons open Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play on Sept. 9 at home against Northern State. Game time is 2 p.m.
