The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's basketball team (RV) continues on the road this week with a pair of contests against NSIC South foes. MSUM will face Minnesota State, Mankato at 5:30 p.m. on Friday in Mankato, Minn., and wrap up the weekend on Saturday at Concordia-St. Paul.

The Dragons (17-3, 13-1 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) lead the NSIC standings by two games over Minnesota Duluth.

The Dragons will face Minnesota State for a 44th time with the Mavericks leading the series 26-17. MSUM will meet Concordia-St. Paul for a 40th time with the Golden Bears holding a 20-19 advantage in the all-time series.

MSUM (17-3, 13-1 NSIC) split on the road last weekend, seeing a 14-game winning streak end at the hands of Minnesota Duluth, 69-53 last Friday. The Dragons bounced back with an 82-75 win over St. Cloud State on Saturday.

Sophomore guard Kiley Borowicz averages 14.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per game and also leads with 34 steals.  Junior forward Megan Hintz averages 13.9 points and 9.8 rebounds per game while senior guard Jacky Volkert is at 11.9 points and leads at 4.4 assists per game.  Junior forward Madi Green averages 5.7 rebounds per game.

As a team MSUM scores 66.8 points per game and shoots 41.4 percent from the field. The Dragons outrebound their foes 40.8-31.5 and allow 56.8 points per game.

Karla Nelson is in her 19th season as the MSUM head coach with a record of 342-191 at the school. Nelson is the second-longest tenured head coach in the NSIC.

About Minnesota State
Minnesota State is 7-11 overall and 4-10 in the NSIC. The Mavericks split on the road last weekend, beating Wayne State, 80-78 before losing to Augustana 68-66 on Jan. 27.

Taylor Drost leads MSU at 11.8 points per game while Monica Muth averages 10.6. Rachel Shumski averages 8.9 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Brooke Tonsfeldt leads at 6.6 rebounds per game while Muth leads at 2.8 assists per game.

As a team MSU scores 74.6 points a game and shoots 41.8 percent from the field. The Mavericks allow 71.8 points per game.

Emiliee Thiesse is in her seventh season as the MSU head coach with a record of 115-79.

About Concordia-St. Paul
The Golden Bears are 14-5 overall and 10-4 in the NSIC. They split on the road last weekend, beating Augustana 75-55 before losing to Wayne State 71-49.

Lindsay Dorr leads CSP at 17.5 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. Anna Schmitt averages 14.4 points and 3.8 assists per game. Lexi Lee is at 8.2 points per game while Kyrah Fredenburg averages 9.7 rebounds per game.

As a team CSP scores 66.6 points per game and shoots 41.1 percent. The Golden Bears allow 60.2 points per game.

Amanda (Behnke) Johnson is in her fourth full season as the CSP head coach with a record of 55-43.
